IMA Punjab delegation met state health minister; assure full support from medical fraternity

A delegation of Indian Medical Association (IMA) Punjab under the leadership of Dr Paramjit Maan, state IMA president today met the newly appointed Punjab state health minister Dr Vijay Singla at Chandigarh.

The delegation congratulated the state health minister Dr Vijay Singla and assured a support from the medical fraternity of Punjab to the state government in streamlining, upgrading the healthcare facility in the state. The IMA Punjab also gave assurance to the state health minister and extends a full support to the present government for affordable health care and health to all scheme of  the state government. They  also discussed the medical issues of the common person.

The health minister also shared his experiences and said that he is aware of the ground realities regarding health care services in Punjab and is determined to improve for the betterment. The Indian Medical Association (IMA) should join hands with the state government for successful implementation of government-sponsored health care schemes said the minister .He urged the IMA to coordinate efforts and conduct more health check-up camps in rural areas for the benefits of the poor.

Dr. Singla also said that our state government is firmly resolved to eradicate red tapism culture from every nook and corner of the state. He further added that health and education is the core areas for our government.

The IMA delegate under the leadership of Dr Paramjit Maan included Dr Bhagwant Singh(Patiala) President elect IMA 2023 , past presidents Dr Parmar (Ropar) Dr Vij ( Jalandhar), Dr Sooch ( Jalandhar) along with Dr Bal (Jalandhar)Dr Sanjeet Singh Sodhi, Dr C S Sandhu ( Mohali), Dr Vikas chabra (Bhatinda), Dr Janak ( Mansa) and Dr Harsimran Singh ( Patiala)
